My father always taught me to respect and honor the game we pursue. They are venerable and make the ultimate sacrifice for our table. I have taken much ribbing for dressing as such from friends and some clients in the Grouse and Woodcock coverts over the years. It is a humble offering of tradition that I feel good about. It makes me feel my Father’s presence after all these years, and yes, I often wear a tie while waterfowling as well!
