The second part of the video from Christmas Eve. As bird dog folks, how can you not love and respect the American Woodcock? Our Prince of upland gamebirds truly does some amazing things. Incredible holds for dogs, young and old, thunderous flushes imitating a grouse while crossing through the trees and limbs with ease, to mild, fluttery upshots that many of us hope we don’t take for those birds are exhausted from a journey south. Ohhh, and of course, there is the running, Yes Virginia! Woodcock can and do run!
